Beaumont-lès-Valence

The etymology of Beaumont-lès-Valence has its origins in the village's position on a hill. The village is located at an altitude of 135 m to 185 m. The contraction of "beau mont" expresses the importance and height of the "mont".

The village boasts two major landmarks: the 12-meter-high clock tower at the entrance to the old village, the last vestige of the medieval rampart, and a unique feature in Europe: the church and temple in a single building dating from the 11th and 12th centuries.
