Description
In "Substraction", Soda creates a striking work in which his abstract black-and-white work is inscribed on the raw concrete façade.
Playing on 3D and depth effects, her work creates a dialogue with the building's architecture through the illusion of an opening in the façade, revealing the building's inner workings.
Using a precise, mastered spray-painting technique, SODA's facility with light and shadow enables her to create a singular work in which visual illusion proposes and reveals a new reading of the building's architecture.
This fresco was created by artist SODA on the wall of a gymnasium belonging to the city of Valence, as part of the 2025 edition of the Walls&Love festival.
